(5-y) / (4-2) = 5
solve for y
Find the value of y so that the line passing through the two point has the given slope.
(2,y) (4,5) m=5 (m=slope)
how do you do this?

I know that I'm suppose to find the y, but I don't know how.
(5-y) / 2 = 5
multiply both sides by 2
5 - y = 10
subtract 5 from both sides
-y = 5
multiply both sides by -1
y = -5
multiply both sides by 2
5 - y = 10
subtract 5 from both sides
-y = 5
multiply both sides by -1
y = -5
