(x-4/x^2-2x) + (4/x^2-4)

Not sure how this problem is solved, only one like this on my homework any help??

assuming the usual carelessness with parentheses, I'll assume you meant

(x-4)/(x^2-2x) + 4/(x^2-4)
= (x-4)/(x(x-2)) + 4/((x+2)(x-2))

So, the LCD is x(x-2)(x+2). That gives us a sum of

(x-4)(x+2) + 4x
---------------------
x(x-2)(x+2)

Now just simplify that.
