find the equation of a line with a slpoe of -2 that passes through the point (4,3).

2 answers

y=-2x+b

Plug and chug

3=-2(4)
3=-8
-8 both sides

-5=b

equation is

y=-2x-5
ok,so you multiply the m and x and take away the 8 from both sides of the = sign?
Sorry,I'm just trying to understand how to get the answer so I can figure out other problems.
