explain why for intentional purposes, german forces needed to invade Britian if they were to hold western europe. what efforts they make to do this?

i confused on this i think maybe britain real strong so germany want to invade first but what real reason?

Britain not only had a strong army, it also had a strong navy and air force. Germany wanted British industries and its raw materials from its colonies -- India and some African territories.
thank you ms. sue i be clear on one thing is it as well because they prevent britain from fighting back and they gain control of it. efforts they make to do this, they attacked with air commands and target cities and military camps i think
