civic participation is such things as voting, being involved in a political party, volunteering, up to date with the news, etc

1. Lack of care and lack of knowledge on politics.
2. Young people have limited voice in their thoughts/opinions
3. Racial age gap between young and older people
4. Having the time available to be involved with things
