equation log_b a = c.
a) If 0 < a < 1 < b, what can you conclude about c?
b) If a < 0 < 1 < b, what can you conclude about c?

I guess you mean log base b of a = c
log a = c
b^(log a) = a = b^c
if a<1 and b >1
then
fraction = big number^c
hmm
it would be helpful if c <0
like
fraction = b^c = 5^-2 = 1/25
if a<0 and b >1
then
logb (-something)
oh my, we are trying to take the log of a negative number. Try that on your calculator
log a = c
b^(log a) = a = b^c
if a<1 and b >1
then
fraction = big number^c
