Does this sentence make sense?

My backyard is a haven of peace.
Or, My backyard is a haven of peace for me.

Which one should I use for my observational essay?

I would use "seems" as opposed to "is". Other than that, the sentence is great.
So..my backyard seems as a haven of peace to me?
