Differentiate.

sqrt((6x^2 + 5x + 1)^3)

2 answers

Use the chain rule.
Let u(x) = 6x^2 + 5x + 1

f(x) = u(x)^3/2
df/dx = df/du*du/dx
= (3/2)*sqrt(6x^2 + 5x + 1)*(12x + 5)
