did i do this correctly?

Instructions: For the following reactions, identify the precipitate and write its balancet net ionic equation:

H2SO4+BaCl2->HCl+BaSO4

answer:

2SO4+Ba->Ba(SO4)2

Close but no cigar.
You need to put the charges on SO4^-2 and Ba^+2.
You can see from the charges that the formula for barium sulfate is BaSO4 (in fact the problem lists it correctly--I wonder why you changed it? If you did it dileberatly; i.e., it was NOT an oversight, then we should talk about it.)
The balanced molecular equation is
H2SO4 + BaCl2 ==> BaSO4 + 2HCl

SO4= + Ba++ ==> BaSO4
oh sorry, i didn't mean to change those formulas. thanks for the help
