Describe the procedure to prepare this solution:

100 mL of a solution 0.1 M of KMnO4

Help? I don't understand what this implies.

What's the definition of M? It's molarity = mols/L. You know L and M; you don't know mols so solve for mols you need.

How do you get grams from mols? That's mols = grams/molar mass. You know molar mass and mols, solve for grams.

Place that many grams KMnO4 in a 100 mL volumetric flask, add a little water, swirl until all is dissolved, add DI water to the mark on the volumetric flask, mix thoroughly, stopper.
That will prepare 100 mL of 0.1M KMnO4 solution.
