Christianity has a large impact on philosophy. As the original Christians, to include Jesus and a lot of these followers, started out as Jews, it evolved into a whole separate religion. Out of the many cults that existed in the Common Era, Christianity was the most popular.
I believe God is an all loving creator; he lets his only son is crucified for people’s sins. He forgives us of all the wrong that we do. All we have to do is ask. If we have faith in Christ then we will be saved and have everlasting life.
There are three Christianized philosophers; Augustine of Hippo, Hypatia, and Plotinus. I believe Plotinus to be a very influential philosopher; he is regarded as the founder of Neo-Platonism. He laid a quiet life. He study Persian and Indian Philosophy in 243 E. C. He lectured on the philosophy of Ammoniums’; he had no writings during this period. Plotinus believed the human person is essentially a soul employing a body as an instrument, temperorial embodying life.
Augustine of Hippo tries to reconcile his beliefs about freewill, especially the belief that humans are morally responsible for their actions, with his belief that one’s life is predestined. He believes that time is not infinite because God “created” it. He also viewed philosophy favorable. When he died in August 430, he had Psalms put on his wall so he could see them.
