Say the words out loud...Listen particularly to the vowel...if you are not sure, then say it again, emphasizing the vowel sound. When you have worked on this, then please repost and we will be happy to help you with corrections.
Path, Pan -- Laugh, Matter (short a)
Here, Heat, Pronunciation -- Weird, Cheese (long e)
Saw -- Taught (au)
Wide -- File, Eye (long i)
Hit -- _____
Look -- Put (Stool is close -- but not exactly the same)
Table, Pronunciation -- Weight
