Why do you keep switching names ?
As you can see from the previous replies
there is a max at x = 1 form 0 to 3
for x = 1
y = 3 - 25 + 60 + 1 = 39
so the max is (1,39)
the graph I gave you confirms this
Consider the function y = 3x5 – 25x3 + 60x + 1.
Find the absolute maximum value of y on the interval [0, 3]. What do you get
I got -322, but I'm not 100% on how to find the absolute maximum.. so is that right?
