One of the above sounds exactly the same as the first word. They are spelled much differently.

I've seen it used lots of times. Quay meaning wharf, that is.

I have used it several times: Newport Harbor, Terminal Island (Long beach) harbor, and honesty, I have never heard it spoken as key, but rather as QQWay. Most often, it is a breakwater with a walkway on top, not suitable for docking boats or ships, as in a Wharf is.
