can someone please tell me how to solve these, thanks!

1.2(3b-4)=8b-11
2.5(r-1)=2(r-4)-6
3.2y+3=3(y+7)
4.15x-10=-9x+2

7 answers

1.2(3b-4)=8b-11
6b-8 = 8b-11
-2b = -3
b = 3/2
i don't get it :( at all
3. 2y+3 = 3(y+7)
2y+3 = 3y+21
-y = 18
y = -18

I have helped you on # 1 and 3, now I think you can manage doing 2 and 4.
for # 3, you can use the distributive property.

2y+3=3(y+7)
2y+3 = 3y+21

subtract 2y from both sides of the equation

3 = y+21

now subtract 21 from both sides

-18 =y
4. 15x -10 =-9x+2
15x +9x = 2+10
24x = 12
x = 1/2
ohhh i get it thanks!
I'm really glad you do, and you're welcome;)
