Salvador Abril y Blasco era un marinista que ya gozaba de buen reputación en el mundo artístico, y que ha obtenido algunas medallas en las Exposiciones Nacionales. Él era un pintor y ceramista espaňol que nació en el aňo1862 en la ciudad de Valencia, Espaňa. Él estudiaba en la Escuela de Bellas Artes de San Carlos en Valencia , especializándose en la pintura de marinas.
Competió con asiduidad en las Exposiciones Nacionales de Bellas Artes, y obtuvo tercera medalla en la edición de 1887 con el cuadro En Alta Mar. También, en 1892, él obtuvo medalla de segunda clase con El Choque y fue condecorado en 1901 y 1904 por otras obras. También competió en las exposiciones de Bellas Artes de Valencia, en las que fue premiado en 1879, 1880 y 1910.
Seňor Abril y Blasco era un profesor de la Escuela de Bellas Artes y Oficios de Granada y tenía estudiantes famosos como el pintura Remigio Soler Tomás. También, él era el director de La Artes e Industrias Valenciana. Alternó la carrera docente con su actividad como pinto y ceramista, llegando a ser un gran especialista en esta última materia, de la que publicó el libro Cerámica de la Alhambra. El Senor Abril y Blasco murió en el aňo 1924.
Salvador Abril y Blasco was a marine who already enjoyed a fair reputation in the art world, and had won some medals in National Exhibitions. He was a painter and ceramist from Spain who was born in the year 1862 in Valencia, Spain. He studied at the School of Fine Arts of San Carlos in Valencia, specializing in marine painting.
He competed frequently at the National Fine Arts Exhibition, and won third prize in the 1887 edition of The High Sea. Also, in 1892 he obtained a second class medal with The Clash and was awarded in 1901 and 1904 for other works. He also competed in the exhibitions of The Fine Arts of Valencia, in which he was awarded in 1879 1880 and 1910.
Mr. Abril y Blasco was a professor at the School of Fine Arts and Crafts of Granada and had famous students such as the painter Remigio Soler Tomás. He was also the director of The Valencia Arts and Industries. He alternated his teaching career activities such as painting and pottery, becoming a specialist in the latter area, in which he published the book Ceramics of the Alhambra.
