Can someone please help me with my math homework problem? My mom tried but she doesn't understand it.

What is the surface area of a right circular cylinder with base circle of radius of 5m and height of the cylinder 10m?

3 answers

r = 5, h = 10
SA = 2 pi r^2 + 2 pi r h
SA = 2(3.14)(5^2) + 2(3.14)(5)(10)
SA = 2(3.14)(25) + 2(3.14)(5)(10)
SA = 50(3.14) + 100(3.14)
SA = 157 + 314 = 471 m^2
Thanks math helper but I am more lost than before since my choices for an answer are 25pi m2, 166.67pi m2,33.3pi m2, 100pi m2

I don't know what I am missing here. I am sorry to bother you.
r = 5, h = 10
SA = 2 pi r^2 + 2 pi r h
SA = 2(pi)(5^2) + 2(pi)(5)(10)
SA = 2(pi)(25) + 2(pi)(5)(10)
SA = 50pi + 100pi
SA = 150 pi m^2

do you have the formula for a right circular cylinder?

I've checked my math and I get 150pi m^2

if you can post the formula from your book I can check
