Wouldn't it be "una calabaza muy grande"?
The 'to carry' verb is 'llevar'. I would conjugate it as imperfect tense here, but preterit might be OK.
Isn't "mientras" followed by "que" ?
I am not sure if "en" is needed after "mordí "
SraMcGin will have the last word on this.
Can someone please check my work?
I was in Grade One.
We went to the pumpkin patch.
I got a really big pumpkin.
I tripped while carrying it.
I bit into the pumpkin.
And lost one of my front teeth.
Fui en primer curso.
Fuimos al terreno de calabaza.
Obtuve un muy grande calabaza.
Tropecé mientras (carrying)la calabaza.
Mordí en la calabaza.
Y perdí uno de mi dientes.
I need to know if my Spanish is correct. If not please correct me.
Gracias!

Depending upon what you have in mind, the first sentence could be "Estaba"
Either "una gran calabaza" = a famous one
or una calabaza grande = big in size
was carrying = llevaba OR estaba llevando
I bit on = OK as is
perdí uno de los dientes
