Can anyone please help me with this?

Find the force acting on a 12,500 kg F4 Phantom jet in the following situations:
1. It is catapulted from rest to 250 km/hr in 2.2 seconds.

How can I find the acceleration for this problem??

2 answers

first 250 km/hr = 250,000 meters / 3600 seconds = V

acceleration = rate of change of velocity
= change in V / change in time = (250,000/3600) / 2.2 meters/ second^2
vfinal=acceleration*time

change km/hr to m/s
