Can a ball have a volume and surface area that have the same numeric value (ignoring units)?

1 answer

First, please put you subject in the "School Subject" space.

Second, look at the equations for both volume and area.

V = 4/3 π r^3

A = 4 π r^2

Can 4/3 π r^3 = 4 π r^2?

Divide both sides by 4π r^2.

1/3 r = 1

r = 3

If that is true, then the answer is yes.
