You can review your teacher's class notes, and the textbook, which should be self-explanatory.

You are probably stuck with notations, which are usually described at the beginning of the notes or textbook.

Probabilites are numbers between 0 and 1, and represent the likelihood of a certain event happening.

If Q represents the event of drawing a queen from a 52-card deck, then
P(Q)=4/52 since there are four queens in a 52 card deck, and we assume that the probability drawing any of the cards from a 52-card deck is equal.
