prob(red) = 12/100 = 3/25
prob(not red) = 22/25
prob(none of 6 are red) = C(6,0) (3/25)^0 (22/25)^6
= (1)(1)(22/25)^6 = ....
prob(at least one of the red) = 1 - above answer
According to Masterfoods, the company that manufactures M&M’s:
12% of peanut M&M’s are brown,
15% are yellow,
12% are red,
23% are blue,
23% are orange, and
15% are green. Round your answers to 4 decimal places.
If you randomly select six peanut M&M’s, compute that probability that none of them are red.
If you randomly select six peanut M&M’s, compute that probability that at least one of them is red.
I got the answer to the other questions, but I don't know the formula to use for these two.
Thanks in advance!!
