A vehicle covers 2,160 miles in 5.5 hours. What is the average speed of the vehicle to the nearest tenth.

I got 55.5, but I don't think it is correct.

2160mi/5.5hr = 2160/5.5 mi/hr = 392.7 mi/hr

How did you wind up with 55.5? Just a simple sanity check shows that 50*5 = 250, which is way below 2150.

No, really, it might be useful if you show the calculation you used.

For stuff like this, it's always useful to include the units. You know that speed is mi/hr, so you know you need to divide miles by hours.
