A sine wave is traveling to the right on a cord. The lighter line in the figure represents the shape of the cord at time t = 0; the darker line represents the shape of the cord at time t = 0.10 s. (Note that the horizontal and vertical scales are different.)

(a) What is the amplitude of the wave?
2.5 cm

(b) What is the wavelength of the wave?
14 m

(c) What is the speed of the wave?
10 m/s

(d) What is the frequency of the wave?
.71 Hz

(e) What is the period of the wave?
s

Could someone please help me get part e I know its 1/f which is 1/.71 which gives me 1.41 s, but its wrong, and I don't know why. Please help. Thank you.

The correct answer for part e is 1.41 s. The frequency of the wave is 0.71 Hz, so the period of the wave is 1/0.71 = 1.41 s.
