A diver is currently located at a depth of 50m in the ocean. (if the density of sea water is 1025𝑘𝑔/𝑚3 and 𝑔=10/𝑠2), what is the absolute Pressure of the diver?

3 answers

512500Pa
well the additional pressure due to water is rho g h
1025 * 10 * 50 = 512,500 Pascals
for absolute pressure add one atmosphere which is about 101,325 Pascals to that 512,500 Pa
Remember you said ABSOLUTE pressure, not relative pressure.
