well i don't really know how to explain the first part sorry.. but a negative acceleration for a car means the car is stopping.
In the first part, the car increases its velocity by 2 every second;thus after 2 seconds it will be moving at 4m/s^2, 6,8,10...etc. If it has a negative acceleration, it's slowing down.
