You should be aware that the formula for kinetic energy is:
K.E = (M/2)V^2
It equals the potential energy gained at the highest point. Therefore
M g H = M V^2/2
Solve for H. M cancels out.
a body of mass 5kg is thrown vertically upwards with a speed of 10m/s. what is its kinetic energy when its thrown? find its potential energy when it reaches at the highest point. also find the maximum height attained by the body[g=10m/s]
