A bag contains 10 white balls and 6 yellow balls. We need to add 112 balls to the bag and keep the ratio the same. How many of each do we need to add.

- What's the correct formula to use?

Final total number of balls
=10+6+112=128
Half of them would be 64.
You will need 64 white and 64 yellow.
I'll leave you to figure out how many of each colour to add.
We need to keep the ratio 10:6
112 = 16*7, so we need to add

10*7 = 70 white balls
6*7 = 42 yellow balls
