How do I find the excluded value for
m^2-8+16/ 5m^2+ m

the expression is undefined when the denominator is zero, because division by zero is undefined.

5m^2+m = m(5m+1), so it is zero for m = 0 or -1/5

even ignoring the typo in the numerator.
