Write an equation in standard form of the line that passes through the given points
(-1,2) (5,4)
I not sure about this one can someone show me how to do it?

slope = (4-2)/(5-(-1)) = 1/3

pick (5,4)
y-4 = (1/3)(x-5)
times 3
3y - 12 = x - 5
<b>x - 3y = -7</b>

check: does the point I didn't use satisfy the equation?
for (-1,2)
LS = -1 - 3(2)
= -7
= RS
......... all is good!
