On a blueprint/ the distance between the family room and kitchen is 3 inches. If 1/4 inch represents 1 foot on the blueprint, what is the actual distance from the family room to the kitchen?

1/4 inch is 1 foot
1/4 + 1/4 = 1/2inches
which means 1+1=2foot
1/2 + 1/2 = 1inch
2+2=4foot.
4foot/inch * 3inch = 12.
