L = w + 1

p = 2 l + 2w

p = 2(w + 1) + 2w
12 = 2w + 2 + 2w
12 = 4w + 2
10 = 4w
w = 2.5
l = 3.5

length is 3.5 mile
Wide is 2.5 mile
