Julia's recipe for apple fritters makes eighteen fritters and uses half of a cup of milk. Julia wants to make six fritters. How much milk will she need?

Use a proportion and solve for x.

(1/2)/ 18 = x / 6

18x = (1/2) * 6

18x = 3

x = 3/18 = 1/6 cup milk
