What you'll do is add 3 and 8 to get the total:
3 + 8 = 11
Now we divide the total number of students by 11:
132/11 = 12 (this is the multiplier for 3 and 8)
Therefore,
3 * 12 = 36 students (prefer baseball)
8 * 12 = 96 students (prefer soccer)
