( 3 x ^ 2 - 7 x ) / 2 = 3 Multiply both sides by 2
3 x ^ 2 - 7 x = 6 Subtract 6 to both sides
3 x ^ 2 - 7 x - 6 = 6 - 6
3 x ^ 2 - 7 x - 6 = 0
