Do you have any good ideas of how to make an 3d or an edible plant cell without using jello or jellytine!

I have seen it done with a cake by baking a different colour mix in the cake for the nucleus, green mix for chloroplasts and so on. The cake was divided up into sections to show the structure and then eaten by the class!
