Okay so you have x+y+z= 17.666 (feet) x= 5.72 (feet) y= z-4 z= y+4 then you put those values into formula one x+y+z=17.666 5.72+y+z=17.666 then you move the x value over the equals sign y+z=17.666-5.72 Do you see where I'm going?

First drop the zero, move the decimal point over two spaces to get 75. Then put it over 100 since 100 is the whole. Then you simplify it by dividing the numerator and denominator by 5 to get 15/20 then you can reduce that too by 5 to get 3/4.
