3.What is the quotient of (2.965 x 10^7)

scientific notation has the form

a 10^n, where "a" is a numer between 1 ≤ a ≤ 9
and n is an integer

I will do one of them for you, then you follow that method for the others

2. (7.28 x 10^-2)x(9.1 x 10^-2)
= (7.28 x 9.1) x (10^-2 x 10^-2)
= 66.248 x 10^-4

but I have to change the 66.248 to 6.248
So I move the decimal to the left, making my number <b>smaller</b>
BUT, that would change the value, so to compensate I make the 10^-4 <b> larger</b> by that same factor , 10^-4 ----> 10^-3

= 6.6248 x 10^-3
