Let the amount each had at first be x
After t days
Robert had x - 4t
Damian had x - 6t
when x-6t = 12, x-4t = 4(x-6t)
1st equation ---> x = 6t+12
2nd equation:
x-4t = 4x - 24t
20t = 3x
sub in the first:
20t = 3(6t+12)
20t = 18t + 36
t = 18
then x = 6(18) + 12 = 120
They each had $ 120.00
check
after 18 days:
Robert had 120-4(18) = 48
Damien had 120 - 6(18) = 12
Does Robert have 4 times what Damien has ?? YEAHH
