A37 foot long Submarine sanwich is cut in to three piece.the shortest piece is x feet long.the second piece is twice as long as the shortest piece.the longer piece is 2 feet longer than four time the length of the shortest piece.find the length of all three piece

answer is x= 35/9

shortest piece --- x
second piece ---- 2x
longest piece ---- 4x+2

x + 2x + 4x+2 = 37
7x = 35
x = 35/7 ,
x = 5 , which is not your answer

check:
shortest = 5
second = 10 , twice as long
longest = 2 more than 4 times the shortest = 2+20 = 22
and 5+10+22 = 37
