please help. how do I solve this equation- 7x + 4 = 5x + 16

7x+4 = 5x+16
7x+4-5x = 5x+16-5x
2x+4 = 16
2x+4-4 = 16-4
2x = 12
x = 6

check:
7*6+4 = 46
5*6+16 = 46
