On an alien planet, volume is measured in units of smaugs (S) and odahviings (O), where 1 S = 2.25 O. By some weird coincidence, they use the exact same metric system that we use.
Knowing this, how much is 500.0 O in units of kS

500.0 O x (1S/2.25 O) x (1 kS/1000S) = ?
note: O unit in numerator of first term cancels with O unit in denominator of second; S unit in numerator of second cancels with S unit in denominator of third and that leaves unit of kS which is what you want.
