Quick q if I have 2x^2+x=6 and I want to isolate x^2 would it be x^2+x/2=3 or x^2+1/2x=3?

Don't know what you mean by "isolate x^2" but
2x^2 + x = 6
is identical to
x^2 + x/2 = 3
or,
x^2 + 1/2 x = 3
since x/2 = (1/2)x
If your other choice was
x^2 + 1/(2x) = 3 then that is wrong.
2x^2 + x = 6
is identical to
x^2 + x/2 = 3
or,
x^2 + 1/2 x = 3
since x/2 = (1/2)x
If your other choice was
x^2 + 1/(2x) = 3 then that is wrong.
