The ages of three brothers are three consecutive even integers. If the sum of the 1st, four times the 2nd, and twice the 3rd is 86, what is the age of the oldest brother?

the numbers are x-2,x,x+2

x-2 + 4x + 2(x+2) = 86
7x +2 = 86
x = 12

So, the brothers are 10,12,14
