                Calculate the pH of the following aqueous solutions:
1.00 mol/L sulfuric acid
H+ = 1.00 M for the first ionization
THe second one is guided by K2
K2 = (H+)(HSO4-)/(HSO4-)
Plugging in K2 as follows:
H+ = 1.00 + x
SO4- = x
HSO4= 1.00 - x
Can someone please solve for x ?

    I almost completely worked this problem for you (or someone) twice. What is your problem that you can't solve it? It's straightforward. You may make a quadratic equation out of it or you may solve it by successive approximations.Have you looked up k2?
