On a recent math exam, Alex received a score of 92%. His z-score is positive 2. If the mean for the exam is 84, what is the standard deviation?

You indicate Alex's score as a percentage, but the mean as a raw score. I will assume that the "%" is a typo.

Z = (score-mean)/SD

2 = (92-84)/SD

Solve for SD.
