Quick question if you are writing a congratulatory letter should you say
- I would like to take the time to congratulate you on your extraordinary commitment to XXX charity.
OR

1. Get rid of the first 8 words. They're completely unnecessary, and they make the sentence wordy.
2. Start with "Congratulations for ... "
