If it is asking for your opinion, I'm pretty sure it is okay to use "I" in your thesis...
is it .800?
Ally did you convert the kJ you would have most likely calculated for your change G0rxn to J to make the R constant work properly?
Okay.
Firstly DO NOT give your teacher "author was born in, author wrote" That's not the task.
Secondly. You have a choice
A> Look at different interpretations of the novel/poem etc OR controvesy "fights/disagreements" regarding the novel. A good example of this would be To Kill a Mockingbird
B> Look at what kind of questions your author raised in their work and try to answer them. Something like Animal Farm might suit.
The teacher wants you too criticie the work using a specific critical approach or using specific and well known steps. So have steps and it should follow some kind of method she showed you in class or find in a journal.
The teacher wants you to identify a specific approach or use approaches that your sources used. IE if you have no idea how to do it read different academics analysis of your novels/poems and apply this.
You need to show how these approaches affect your thesis.
Thats how I read it but maybe check with a teacher...
Your question being?
Well a George Beers contributed to a journal about small scale and large scale farming...
But there is also a dentist, a hockey player, a guy dead before Lenin and a few other randoms.
So I'd talk about how its hard to find anyone reputable called George Beers and this could impact on its reliability?
Would I then also talk about his massive list of references and footnotes, because he did have some great information.
I found an email for the webmaster and emailed him, so hopefully he replies.
Thanks for all your help XD
Okay. Thank-you. Quick question though, what are the EPS and PE?
Okay I have the EPS as earnings per share but is PE price earning ratio or private equity?
Okay, thank-you for all your help! I think I'll use the PE
Thank you
Qantas Airways on the ASX
My working out is below:
Qantas Price Earnings Ratio =
(Market Value per share)/(Earnings per share (EPS))
2.08/(Earnings per share (EPS))
Qantas EPS =
(Company net income-dividends)/(Number of shares available)
(417,000,000-0)/19,000,000
$21.94
Qantas Price Earnings Ratio =
2.08/21.94
$0.09
That came out badly
Retype
PE = Market value per share/EPS
EPS = net income-dividends/no of shares available
EPS = 417000000-0/19000000
EPS = 21.94
PE = 2.08/21.94
PE = 0.09
Thank-you for all your help so far.
How did you find the EPS? I think I messed up there..
Oh, I see, you got it off the website. I'm just wondering how I got the EPS so wrong.
Thank-you for all your help XD
Wait what? How can it not be making any earnings?
Wait, I was just on the VIrgin Blue Annual Report and it says its earnings per share is 1cent...
If they are loosing money it would explain why there entire annual report is rather confusing and they just refer to the EPS before telling you on page 54 its one cent...
Whats a nominal penny?
Hi
My historical EPS is the 2004/05 one which is 24.9. The cost was 4.30.
So the PE is 4.30/24.9?
Because my calculator is telling me the PE it is 0.17... I'm thinking it should be a PE of 17, but I don't know where I went wrong
Don't worry I saw my mistake.
The EPS was 24.9 cents not dollars.
I'm looking for photos of the Russian Kulaks but also for a good general image search site for my history assignments.
Thanks!
Thank-you very much.
I don't know, what do YOU think? Is there something you don't understand about the question?
Thank-you very much!
I found that the journal article was also on the European University Institute. This means he has to be studying for a doctrate or have achieved a doctrate doesn't it?
Thanks for all your help so far
Thank-you.
This means that I can write in my reflection the source is still reliable as it can be assumed from the EUI information he is either gaining a doctrate or has already gained one. Doesn't it?
Okay, thank-you!
Its a czechslovakian cartoon depicting a kulak seeming to proudly lift a russians chin but the shadows show him strangling him.
The second is a Herblock pulitzer winner - the grim reaper greating Stalin saying 'you were always a great friend of mine, Joseph'
With my czechslovakian I think its portraying the Kulaks as vicious murderers that shouldn't be trusted even if they look nice and jolly. I think it was used to garner support for dekulakisation. The date is a 'circa' date so it might have been used to fuel hatred which would have made dekulakisation easier.
My Herblock one I think is really good as it captures the esscence of Stalins purges, famine in the ukraine, dekulakisation everthing - the fact that his life dealt with death is so poignant.
Hi
I didn't mean to reject Writeachers idea's, I'm sorry.
I really would like to do something different for my presentation and I don't feel that a powerpoint could really fulfill the criteria. I did have a look at the links Writeteacher gave me but I didn't find what i needed.
My real problem lies in how to present the speech - the mode. Usually I just write up like a report then ensure I can speak it. This assignment demands that I use a different format. This assignment is also crucial regarding my exit result.
If you, Writeteacher or any other teachers have any ideas about how I could try and do this it would be much appreciated. If not I'll still keep trying.
Thank-you very much

Never mind, I HAVE found a way to be innovative. I'll have a photo of the then president of the United States on a screen. I'll ask him why he signed NATO. I will edit audio of him speaking to create a 'reason'. Then I'll "talk" to Kruschev. I will then turn around and say. Here's why this Really happened. Do you think that will work?
Thank-you
First off, the subject would be English or Grammar. Secondly what is with the (points:1)? Is this an exam?
Try reading each one out. Do the pauses sound natural? The option that flows most naturally would probably be the right one.
See if you can work it out :P
Thanks for these links - they'll really help me revise the Ancient and English units :)
Do you know any websites that give essay topics?
Thanx XD
Thank-you so much for all this detailed information. I really appreciate this :). I managed to get my draft in (hence the urgent) but I will use these links in my final.
Thanks a heap, XD
thanks ;)
Thank you.
Thanks for these! I'll definately try using them as well :D
Oh, okay. Because I was thinking that the lines " Its woods, and that uncertain heaven received/ into the bosom of the steady lake,/ this boy was taken from his mades, and died
Because I though recieving into the bosom meant "into the embrace" or something similar so that the meaning of the lines was that the boy went into the embrace of the lake (drowned) and that's why heaven received this boy who was taken from his mates.
And if the boy represents a composite of characters, what if he combined the friend who imitated owls and his drowned brother into one character and that this character is the boy in the poem?
Would that still make sense?
What's the answer to part f?
Aaah! Thanks so much! So rather than the specific "link" its the concept behind it? So like the total control of actions - that are being viewed and judged and maybe also psychological control? Would they work.
Thanks again!
3,8,15,24,35
1,2,3, 4, 5
I think it's
t(n) = (n+2) * n
I got 83.8%. close enough. just make sure not to round your values until the very end (keep them in your calc).
Okay usually on a multichoice test you'd get two questions that are clearly incorrect. Eliminate these. Then look at the remaining two options and choose the "most correct answer".
So which one do you think it is?
I'm pretty sure that you have to either find the angular or linear speed. That's as much as I could tell you. I'm sorry. Could you possibly help me with my question? It's on the current questions page.
(4,3),(-1,6)
Ahh thank you - so then there would be 8346.453 coulombs needed instead of 2225.721.
As there are two unknowns, I cannot solve this problem any further... this is for an assignment due tomorrow, what should I do?
Sorry that should say 1115433.526 coulombs, not 8346.453.
Thanks so much!

wait what?

The answer that I got was 22 because 8+10=18 and 18+22= 40
I'm sorry I don't really understand... :(
So it's D?
Suppose a 300–g kookaburra (a large kingfisher bird) picks up a 84.0–g snake and raises it 2.30 m from the ground to a branch. How much work did the bird do on the snake? How much work did it do to raise its own center of mass to the branch?
I got the first question but not the last
For 13 it's 1 and 14 a 1/27
It also comes up as D sometimes. But it is still whether a person born outside of the US is a "natural born citizen"
There is another similar version of the test.
1. B. government corporations
2, 3, and 4 are the same as above.
5. C. Preside over the senate
6 & 7 are the same as above.
8. D. International Cooperation
and the rest are the same as above
At least someone helped.. Thanks, Brighton. Everyone else was no bloody help.
What is wrong with Ms. Sue? Holy crap. She is NOT helpful.
I did not understand where the 15, and 16 in the calculation came from
My answer for number 3 is B
I tried googling them but I can't find any answers so I tried here
ok, I just looked in the book, and I found what I think are the answers.
1. C
2. D
3. C
Turns out I was reading the wrong lesson in my text book

The answer is indeed b. Papermaking, printing, gunpowder and the compass - the four great inventions of ancient China-are significant contributions of the Chinese nation to world civilization. China was the first nation to invent paper. Related to the type press. :)
