If a scale has a 1.5% margin of error and the scale shows a weight of 40, What is the range of possible actual weights of the object measured? I did 1.5 over 100 = x over 40 and got .6 so my answer is 39.4lbs to 40.6lbs.

Min. = 40 - 0,015*40 = 39.4.
Max. = 40 + 0.015*40 = 40.6
