My science fair project is growing bacteria from food that is left out and seeing how much the bacteria increases over time. How would I write my hypothesis?

It depends on what question you are trying to answer. Are you trying to relate the growth to humidity or temperature? What is your control? Is the food covered or not? Is the container sealed?

trying to relate growth to temperature. the control will be food placed covered back into the refrigerator at one hour compared to food left out, uncovered at 2 hours, 3 hours and 4 hours.
